European School in Materials Science (Euroschool)
CMA EuroPhD Students
Aim of the Euroschool
The European School in Materials Science is one of the integration activities of the EU Network of Excellence »Complex Metallic Alloys«. It will be organized on an annual basis for the duration of the program.
The aim of the Euroschool is to provide a lecture-style background to students and graduate students in the field of materials, in particular the physics of metals and metallurgy. The Euroschool is intended to compensate for the declining lecturing activities in metals sciences. The approach is an integral one. The topics range from basic atomistic physics to industrial processing. Lecturers are invited from academia, research and industry that will provide basic and advanced tutorial lectures.
One of the deliveries of the Euroschool is a yearly publication of all presentations, suitably prepared, in a book that will be published. Copies of all presentations will be placed on the web-page at the Euroschool (http://euroschool-cma.ijs.si). |
CMA EuroPhD Students
A dedicated scheme for PhD students will be associated to CMA. Taking advantage of the challenging topic of CMA, this task is designed in order to maintain, preferably to enhance, the attractiveness of science, particularly the field relevant to NMP, to young researchers.
The CMA EuroPhD students will spend extended time at partner institutions in other European countries.
For further information please contact Prof. Dr. Jean-Marie Dubois, Coordinator CMA. |
