Euroschool 2010
In the 5th year of CMA NoE, activities of the VIU ES were directed towards the organization of the 5th European School in Materials Science.
The date and place of the ES 5th were May 24 – 20, 2010, at the MONS Hotel and Congress Center in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The title of the ES 5th was "Properties of Complex Metallic Alloys: Modeling, Simulation and Experiment".
The program consisted of Basic tutorials, where six lecturers have presented altogether 24 lecturing hours (of 50 min duration each) and Advanced tutorials, where eight lecturers have presented 14 lecturing hours. The speakers were invited on the basis of excellence and good response was obtained.
All organizational tasks were performed through the ES web page http://euroschool-cma.ijs.si . The number of participants at the ES 5th was 85, coming from 12 countries and two continents. The 5th Euroschool has offered to participants two additional activities: a Poster session and the possibility to receive 3 ECTS credits, granted by the University of Ljubljana.
